Townsend School District’s first school (a log structure) was established in the same year the town of Townsend was established, 1883. The original High School, built in 1917, was demolished in 2002 after 83 years in use. An expansion wing, built in 1963, was retained and remains part of the new high school. An $18 million bond passed in 2020 to build a new elementary school, replacing the aging 1952 elementary building.
Electro Controls had the privilege of providing and installing DDC controls for the new elementary school. This included several RTUs, VAVs, boilers, pumps, MAUs, EFs, CUHs, etc. All controls were integrated into a graphical user interface for the customer to view and manage their systems. Townsend High School underwent a mechanical upgrade in 2022, in which Electro demoed existing controls and installed new controls on unit heaters, pumps, MAUs, RTU, etc.
Although Electro’s working relationship with Townsend School District is relatively new, we are grateful for the opportunity to have contributed to the district’s facility improvements and look forward to building a long-term partnership. We appreciate the trust the district has placed in Electro Controls and look forward to supporting Townsend School District as its facilities continue to evolve.
