Columbia Falls Public Schools

Columbia Falls School District #6 was officially established in the Fall of 1898. The first school, built between 1892 and 1896, was a two-story red brick building and served roughly 100 students by 1896. Today, CFSD#6 serves nearly 2,400 students across four campuses: Columbia Falls High School, Columbia Falls Junior High School, Glacier Gateway Elementary School, and Ruder Elementary School.

Electro Controls began working with CFSD#6 in 2021, when a $37 million district bond was approved and $10.9 million of it was used for the expansion, renovation, and HVAC upgrades at Ruder Elementary School. Electro was contracted by Diamond Plumbing & Heating to demo the existing control system and provide, install, and wire specified DDC controls for the new mechanical equipment. All controls were integrated into the web-based graphical user interface. Electro’s next project with CFSD#6 was upgrading the HVAC controls at the middle school (junior high). New sensors and controllers were installed on several AHUs, VAV boxes, boilers, pumps, etc. All new controllers were integrated into the District Supervisor. Shortly thereafter, Columbia Falls High School underwent some major HVAC upgrades as well, in which Electro provided and installed controls for an RTU, ERVs, and DHs.

Electro Controls appreciates the opportunity to work with Columbia Falls School District #6 and to contribute to the continued improvement of its facilities and HVAC systems. We value the trust placed in our team by the district and our contracting partners and look forward to continuing to provide service and controls expertise as CFSD#6 plans for the future needs of it’s facilities.
