Belgrade School District

Belgrade School District (BSD44) was established in 1891 as a modest wooden building that also served as a local church. The structure was owned by Thomas B. Quaw, the individual who founded and established the town of Belgrade in 1882. As the agricultural community grew in the early 1900s, formal school facilities expanded to accommodate local families. In the mid-1950s, the Martha Fox Heck Building was built, housing grades 1-8 and a principal’s office. Nearly a decade later, Belgrade High School was constructed as the population of Gallatin County grew. Today, the school district consists of one high school, one middle school, and three elementary schools.

Electro Controls’ earliest project with Belgrade School District was in 1991 at the middle school. Since then, Electro has retrofitted controls, upgraded controllers, and integrated controls to a local supervisor at the middle school. Electro has provided and installed controls at both Saddle Peak Elementary and Ridgeview Elementary as well. Most of Electro’s work with the school district has been at Belgrade High School consisting of several controls upgrades, retrofits, JACE upgrades, boiler replacements, and most importantly, the remodel that took place from 2017-2019. The Heck & Quaw properties, which were recently turned over to the City of Belgrade in late 2024, also house temperature controls provided and installed by Electro Controls over the years.

Electro Controls is proud of our longstanding partnership with Belgrade School District and the opportunity to support the district through decades of growth, upgrades, and improvements. We appreciate the trust BSD44 has placed in Electro Controls and value the opportunity to contribute to the comfort, efficiency, and reliability of its facilities. We look forward to continuing our relationship with the district and supporting its schools and students for years to come.
