Whitefish School District

Whitefish School District began when early pioneer children had to commute to school in Columbia Falls before local facilities were established. In the early 1900s, rapid population growth led to a voter-approved building levy to expand the school (Whitefish Central School) with two new wings and a gymnasium. Today, Whitefish School District consists of Muldown Elementary School, Whitefish Middle School, Whitefish High School, and Whitefish Independent High School.

Electro Controls began working with Whitefish School District in 2004. The first project completed was at the Middle/Central School and was broken out into three phases. This project consisted of installing controls on and integrating VAVs, AHUs, FCs, VFDs, and HW System. Electro supplied the school district with a front-end user interface to be able to view, manage, and optimize their building systems from a centralized location.

Following a voter-approved bond in 2017, a new two-story facility, replacing the original Muldown Elementary School was built in 2020. Electro Controls had the privilege of working under Diamond Plumbing & Heating on this new Muldown Elementary School project, led by Martel Construction. In addition to Muldown Elementary School, Electro has completed upgrades to existing systems and expansions at Whitefish Middle School and Whitefish High School.
