Polson School District

The first public school in Polson opened in 1911 following the town’s 1910 incorporation after opening of the Flathead Indian Reservation homestead lands. Over the years, as a result of the 20th century growth, several small surrounding school districts (Dayton, Rollins, Proctor, and Irvine Flats schools) consolidated into or fed their high school students into the core Polson School District. Today, Polson School District consists of Polson High School, Polson Middle School, Linderman School (2nd to 4th grade), and Cherry Valley School (Pre-K to 1st grade).

Electro Controls has had the privilege of working with Polson School District on all four schools. In 2023, two bonds totaling $40 million passed, allowing for major facility improvements at Polson High School. These improvements included upgrading the HVAC Control System and adding a new two-story addition to bring all students under one roof. Electro provided and installed new Delta controls for the existing HVAC equipment, as well as the new HVAC equipment in the addition. All controls were integrated into the web-supervisor and the existing graphical user interface.

Polson Middle School has been a longtime client of Electro Controls. In 2005, Electro upgraded the Staefa MS1800 system to a Staefa TALON system. In 2015, Electro upgraded the existing Tridium supervisor controller. In 2021, Polson Middle School underwent an HVAC Control System upgrade in which Electro disconnected and demoed existing controls, then installed new controls for boilers, pumps, HVs, and MAUs. Most recently, a remodel of the middle school has taken place and has been broken out into two phases. The first phase consisting of providing and installing controls for new equipment in the gym, the teachers’ workroom, and the restrooms. The second phase includes providing and installing controls for FCUs, HPs, FTs, EFs, MS, etc. throughout the building.

Linderman and Cherry Valley Schools have undergone several HVAC upgrades over the years, in which Electro Controls has taken part in. In 2023, Electro demoed existing controls on various HVAC equipment in both schools and installed new Delta BACnet controllers, along with integrating all the controls into the existing District Tridium web supervisor. Most recently, both Linderman and Cherry Valley schools have been remodeled and received major additions. Electro Controls had the privilege of providing and installing controls for both projects.

Electro Controls is proud to have supported Polson School District through decades of growth, renovations, and modernization. From early system upgrades to the installation of new, integrated Delta control systems across all four schools, our partnership with the District has allowed us to help improve the reliability, efficiency, and functionality of its HVAC systems. We appreciate the opportunity to continue working with Polson School District and look forward to supporting the district’s facilities and students for years to come.
