Casa Noctiluca

Noctiluca is located on 18 private oceanfront acres on the Punta Mita Peninsula of Mexico. Providing luxurious accommodations for up to 16 guests, its thatched-roof palapa staterooms are just off the 1000-foot beach. Noctiluca’s design was inspired by the traditional Mexican fishing village and the rich native Aztec traditions of the region. Noctiluca features a 200-foot curvilinear swimming pool and a 52-foot yacht.

Noctiluca’s building automation system consists of 18 controllers that control the heating and cooling of all the guest spaces and 7 controllers that control the heating and cooling in the caretaker and kitchen areas. It also consists of controls for the chill water plant and a controller that monitors the irrigation water tank, fire suppression tank, DINE tank, potable water tanks, domestic water pump, pool sump pump, water system sump pump, and the sewage sump pump. The chill water plant has three 240-ton chillers that make the chill water for cooling the entire property and serves a large reef aquarium.

Integration was done to a Tridium Supervisor for long term trending and a graphical user Interface. Then the HVAC system was integrated into a Savant Smart Home System, so that guests can interact with the system and change the setpoint in their spaces.
